The treatment is minimally invasive, with little to no downtime. Clients will generally experience benefits after their first treatment, but optimum results will be seen after 3-4 treatments. There is a minimum amount of pain but prior to the microneedling treatment, you will be given a topical numbing agent to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. Clients will have redness and tightness of the skin, which is the desired effect we are searching for. This fades after 4-12 hours for most individuals.

Is microneedling painful?
For most, this is not a painful procedure. We use a topical numbing solution before your procedure to ensure it is as comfortable as possible for our clients. Some more sensitive areas may sting briefly, such as the nose or upper lip area.
Are there contraindications for this treatment?
Yes, if any of the following pertain to you: Keloid scars. Active eczema. Psoriasis and other chronic conditions. History of actinic or solar keratosis. History of herpes simplex infections. History of diabetes. Presence of raised moles in the area to be treated. Scleroderma, collagen or vascular diseases, and cardiac abnormalities. Blood clotting conditions. Active bacterial or fungal infections. Immunosuppression. Not a recommended treatment for women who are currently pregnant or nursing. If you are on blood thinners, are currently on Accutane, or have used it in the last six months.
