Microneedling

Microneedling

Microabrasion is a form of resurfacing that uses tiny needles to create microtrauma on the skin, which then activates the body’s natural healing mechanism. The treatment is minimally invasive, with little to no downtime. Clients will generally experience benefits after their first treatment, but optimum results will be seen after 3-4 treatments.

There is a minimum amount of pain but prior to the microneedling treatment, you will be given a topical numbing agent to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.Clients will have redness and tightness of the skin, which is the desired effect we are searching for. This fades after 4-12 hours for most individuals.

Benefits of Microneedling

Reduce scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. Small pores may be reduced in size. The look and appearance of your skin can be improved by reducing the visibility of pores and making it look more uniform.

Microneedling FAQs

Microneedling is a procedure that involves puncturing your skin with tiny needles.

By stimulating your skin, microneedling stimulates collagen production. As a result of the pinpricks, the skin produces collagen-rich tissue as a response. The new skin tissue has a more even texture and tone as a result.
For most, this is not a painful procedure. We use a topical numbing solution before your procedure to ensure it is as comfortable as possible for our clients. Some more sensitive areas may sting briefly, such as the nose or upper lip area.
There is generally minimal downtime for this procedure. Clients should leave with red skin, similar to a slight sunburn. This is the reaction we are hoping to achieve from this treatment. Over the next few hours, the redness subsides, and by the next day should be almost gone. You may feel tightness the next few days. Some experience some skin flaking; this is also normal. We recommend not touching the skin or applying unapproved products for 1-3 days after the procedure to assure your skin has had some time to heal.
You may notice some results as soon as a few days- a week out from your treatment. These are typically changes in the overall brightness of the skin and changes in complexion. You may notice a smoother and softer texture of the skin. Full results will be achieved within 4 weeks from treatment. However, Microneedling is designed for you to achieve optimal results after 3-4 sessions spaced one month apart.
